The XR Makerspace is open to all Georgia Tech students and faculty interested in exploring VR, AR, and XR technologies for coursework, research, and independent projects. Access is simple—bring your BuzzCard, check in with a student director, and start creating.

Usage Support

All XR headsets, motion capture tools, 3D scanners, and related equipment must be used inside the makerspace unless special permission is granted. Our student directors manage access, equipment usage, and safety. They will verify your BuzzCard identity, discuss your project needs, help you choose the right XR equipment, and check out headsets or other gear for use inside the space.

What You Can Do in the Space

·  Develop XR prototypes for courses

·  Run research studies using immersive technologies

·  Work on personal or senior design projects

·  Experiment with motion capture, 3D scanning, and haptics

·  Create applications for Quest, Vision Pro, Magic Leap, and more

Usage Policies

·  Equipment must be used within the makerspace unless approved by staff.

·  Please follow all student director instructions regarding safety and handling.
